The Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management covers the knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
Graduates at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.
They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.

The course is 4 terms for 36 weeks. The course is timetabled for 20 hours per week.
Classroom learning – There is 8 hours face-to-face learning in the classroom per week supported with PowerPoints. Classroom learning includes lectures supported by presentations plus visual topic content, with practice time and group and oral work. Your materials are provided either in print or digital copy that can be accessed as part of the course. There is an extra cost for the textbook, please refer to the fees table.
Online learning – There is 4 hours study online per week. Online learning follows the units you are studying in class and includes reading topics, research and extra materials.

Academic Calendar
You will complete work placement under the supervision of a qualified trainer or co-ordinator. This placement can be in one or more locations to suit your interests to have the access available at your work site(s). The cost of travel to work experience sites are at the expense of individual students. The work placement will be arranged to meet your backgrounds and career paths. We will provide help and support while you complete your placements. We expect the students to complete the work placement gradually, which means usually one day a week for 4 terms, but this can vary to suit both the student and placement. Placement is not paid employment but could lead to employment as the course progresses. Work placements area a valuable experience for students.
Students are required to complete a range of tasks as part of the assessment requirements for each unit. To perform at your best, you will need to work on the assessments outside of class time. Assessments methods may include:
Practical demonstrations where you will be observed by one of our assessors in the simulated environment and in your work placement
Knowledge based test which contain written short answer questions
Projects for you to investigate and complete in your own time.
Logbook from work placement signed by your supervisor
AMBI recognises certificates and statement of attainment issued by other registered training organisation and the skills and knowledge that students may have gained through any previous studies and at workplace and life experiences. RPL and credit transfer can be applied at the time of enrolment or during orientation. A fee is payable for assessing your RPL status. This may affect the international student visa and shorten your course duration.
Upon successful completion of all the required units of this course, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification in BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Managemen. Students who do not complete all required units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of a BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.
A Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management provides a pathway for graduates to work as a business manager in most of current national and multi-national businesses.
Th Australian Massage and Beauty Institute is located at 86 Keppel St, Bathurst NSW 2795 Australia. Our facilities include classrooms, practical rooms, student clinic, printing and photocopying facility and a student common area. The college is Wi-Fi enabled and students can bring their own laptop computer or mobile device. Students wear the college uniform which is black trousers, black closed shoes and the AMBI T-shirt. Students may be required to wear a salon uniform on work placement.
