The Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing is designed
suitable for prospective therapists, who are going to work as cosmetic tattooists and design and provide cosmetic tattooing services.
Their work involves the self-directed application of specialised knowledge and experience to consult, design and manage sequential treatment programs. They possess highly developed communication and technical skills. Practitioners operate within a defined scope of practice and use initiative and judgement to refuse or refer treatments as required.
After the training, the learners will get the skills in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.

The course is offered as a blended course with face-to-face, online learning and simulated work environment practice.
Classroom Learning includes lectures supported with visual topic content, PowerPoints, practice, group and oral work. Your materials are provided either in print or digital copy that can be accessed as part of the course.
Online Learning requires you to complete additional online study each week. This learning is tailored to the follow the units you are completing in class. This includes reading topics, research and additional materials.
Simulated Work Environment
Over the duration of the course, students will complete a range of beauty services to demonstrate skills and knowledge of the course.

Academic Calendar
Students are required to complete a range of tasks as part of the assessment requirements for each unit. To perform at your best, you will need to work on the assessments outside of class time. Assessments methods may include:
Practical demonstrations where you will be observed by one of our assessors in the simulated beauty salon environment
Knowledge based test which contain written short answer questions
Projects for you to investigate and complete in your own time.
AMBI recognises certificates and statement of attainment issued by other registered training organisation and the skills and knowledge that students may have gained through any previous studies and at workplace and life experiences. RPL and credit transfer can be applied for at the time of enrolment or during orientation. A fee is payable for assessing your RPL status.
Upon successful completion of all the required units of this course, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification in SHB50321 Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing. Students who do not complete all required units may be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of a SSHB50321 Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing.
Cosmetic Tattooing Therapy graduates can move on to further study at AMBI to the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.
